Cybersecurity has emerged as a paramount concern considering the growing cyber threats that jeopardize countries, organizations, and societies. The imperative for cybersecurity training and qualifications across diverse segments of society has reached a critical level. Cybersecurity training is no longer considered a cultural luxury but has evolved into a foundational aspect of cybersecurity. This principle is embraced and actively pursued by Qatar's National Cyber Security Agency.

In the context of its efforts to strengthen cybersecurity indicators in the state of Qatar at the institutional, societal, and individual levels, and within its preventive strategy, the National Agency for Cyber Security is racing against time to finalize the logistical, technical, and necessary preparations for launching the National Cyber Security Academy. The academy is scheduled to be inaugurated at the end of the upcoming month, with the official announcement of its launch to be made through a special ceremony attended by a select group of officials and experts in cybersecurity, as well as representatives from major technology companies worldwide and companies operating in the field of cybersecurity. Additionally, there are plans to organize a dedicated cybersecurity qualification and training forum on the sidelines of the academy's launching ceremony.

Engineer Abdulrahman bin Ali Al-Farahid Al-Malki, the head of the National Cyber Security Agency, affirmed that establishing the National Cyber Security Academy aligns with the agency's adopted preventive strategy in cybersecurity. He underscored that the academy would offer additional cybersecurity value, directly improving public awareness of cybersecurity concepts and digital safety. He noted that this positive influence will ripple effect on the stability of cyberspace in Qatar.

Ms. Dalal Al-Aqeedi, the National Cyber Excellence Management director, confirmed that the academy's goals include enhancing cybersecurity indicators in Qatar and promoting awareness of cybersecurity concepts and digital safety across diverse segments of society. These segments encompass children, school students, youth, families, public and private employees, and cybersecurity specialists. The achievement of these objectives will involve adopting contemporary and modern training content and utilizing interactive and simulation-based training methods. Furthermore, the academy will contribute to supporting cybersecurity research in Qatar.

Notably, the National Cyber Security Academy will actively contribute to supporting official and grassroots initiatives aligned with the goals of Qatar's Vision 2030, particularly in the realms of social, human, and economic development. The academy's impactful role in advancing cyber competency across diverse societal segments, equipping them with contemporary cyber knowledge for secure and effective utilization of technological tools, will be a crucial driver of this contribution. Moreover, the academy will play a pivotal role in fortifying the stability of the cyber environment, thereby positively influencing social and economic indicators within the country. This collaborative effort will reinforce Qatar's cybersecurity and digital safety leadership, solidifying its standing in various pertinent international benchmarks related to cyberspace and cybersecurity.

The academy has a robust technological and infrastructural foundation to fulfill its objectives. It comprises various sections, including training rooms equipped with cutting-edge global technologies. Furthermore, it incorporates a cyber lab designed for interactive training and simulation exercises, enabling researchers and students from universities and cybersecurity institutes to engage in their research endeavors. This contributes positively to the advancement of the cyber environment in the state of Qatar. Moreover, the academy conducts quality activities focusing on students as a vital segment of society. These activities encompass cyber events like cybersecurity summer camps, heightening students' awareness of cybersecurity concepts, and digital safety.
