In a proactive move to elevate the digital expertise of the country's workforce, the National Cyber Security Agency is set to conduct a pivotal awareness workshop in December. Aligned with the National Cyber Training Program, the workshop is designed to fortify the cyber and digital capabilities of non-specialized personnel across both public and private sectors.

The workshop targets employees in major and subsidiary government institutions who lack specialization in cybersecurity or information technology. It seeks to elevate their awareness of fundamental cyber security concepts, imparting essential skills and digital safety techniques. The workshop covers a diverse spectrum of topics related to cyber security, as it aims to instill basic skills while promoting technical awareness among employees in both public and private sectors.

Ms. Dalal Al-Aqidi, Director of the National Cyber Excellence Department, emphasized that the workshop is a crucial component of the agency's broader initiative to promote cybersecurity awareness. It is conducted in collaboration with distinguished experts and specialists to bolster the efficiency of employees in state institutions.

Ms. Al-Aqidi added: the periodic awareness workshops conducted by the National Cyber Security Agency are strategically aligned with the latest developments in cyber and technology fields. They represent a commitment to ensuring the highest standards and aligning with global best practices, ultimately reinforcing the cyber and digital capabilities of employees in Qatar.

These workshops are designed to support participants of varying technical competencies and job roles. The goal is to provide a holistic understanding of basic cybersecurity practices, familiarize participants with common electronic threats such as phishing and social engineering attacks, and empower them to mitigate these risks effectively.
