The National Cyber Security Academy belongs to the National Cyber Security Agency – State of Qatar.
The National Cyber Security Agency was established pursuant to Amiri Decision No. (1) of 2021. The National Cyber Security Agency is the authorized body for accrediting information security service providers and issuing compliance certificates, in addition to its role in regulating and enforcing the Personal Data Privacy Protection Law.
The National Cybersecurity Academy is committed to protecting individuals’ personal data and ensuring a secure digital environment when using its website and digital platforms. For additional information about personal data collected by the National Cyber Security Academy, including how it is processed and protected, please refer to the following sections of the Privacy Notice:
1. Why Do We Collect Your Data?
We collect your data when you engage with the Academy’s services, specifically when applying for the following:
- Cybersecurity-related training and awareness activities
- Individual training and certification of completion
- Workshops, events, and official notifications
- Partnership and cooperation services
- Photography or recording during the events may take place, and it may be shared on social media platforms with your consent
We process your personal data only for the carrying out of processing activities that are required to fulfill the purposes mentioned above. We further ensure such processing activities are carried out only if we have a legitimate interest in doing so, or with your explicit consent or parental permission, depending on the nature of the purpose.
Photographing or videoing for posting on NCSA’s social media outlets, photographs will be taken only with your permission, and you have the right to request not to be photographed or videotaped.
2. What Personal Data Is Processed?
Depending on the nature of processing and the associated service, we may collect some or all of the following data:
- Name, department, company, job title, phone number, email address
- Qatari ID number, nationality, gender, employment contract status, age, preferred language
- Personal data with a special nature, in particular, personal data of children
We do not collect any other data, including personal data, of a special nature, unless your explicit consent or parental permission, depending on its type, is obtained, and all collected data is used solely for the stated purpose.
3. How Do We Collect and Process Your Data?
Your data is collected through:
- Direct submission when requesting services
- Your representative entity (e.g., government entity or institution)
- Your parents if you are under the legal age
The NCSA will process your data and will not process it for any other purpose without your consent.
4. Data Retention
Your data is stored within the systems of the National Cyber Security Agency and will not be used for commercial purposes or shared with third parties unless required by law.
The data will be stored to fulfil the purpose of the processing activities related to the services stated under the section ‘Why do we collect data?’ and/or meet other applicable legal requirements. In contrast, the data will be stored securely and deleted post expiry of the retention periods.

We adhere to strict information security policies and standards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your data.
