National Cyber Security Agency Organizes Awareness Workshop for Investment and Trade Court Employees

As part of its efforts to enhance the cybersecurity proficiencies and skills of employees in government institutions, and in accordance with the second National Cybersecurity Strategy 2024 – 2030 and the National Cybersecurity Training Program, the National Cybersecurity Agency organized a cybersecurity awareness workshop for the Investment and Trade Court staff. The workshop took place at the Digital Center of Excellence in Msheireb from June 26 to 27, 2024, and was attended by 72 participants from various departments of the court.
Through the awareness workshop, the National Cybersecurity Agency sought to enhance the proficiency of employees at the Investment and Trade Court across various administrative levels in safely and effectively browsing the internet, recognizing cybersecurity threats, and learning how to prevent them. The workshop also provided training on maintaining a secure work environment. Other principles of safe internet usage include securing personal data from theft and hacking and the most common cybersecurity threats employees encounter personally and professionally.
Ms. Dalal Abdulaziz Al-Aqeedi, Director of the National Cyber Excellence Department, stated that the workshop is part of the National Cyber Security Agency's efforts to improve cybersecurity standards within state institutions. It also seeks to empower employees to safely and effectively use the internet and modern technological applications, which positively affects the stability of the cybersecurity environment in Qatar and enhances the cybersecurity proficiency of employees on both personal and professional levels.
Ms. Al-Aqeedi added that the workshop is part of the National Cybersecurity Training Program, which is the main platform for the National Cyber Security Agency's efforts. This program targets employees at all administrative levels in various institutions, including cybersecurity and IT specialists as well as non-specialists. It provides customized cybersecurity awareness content through a range of comprehensive training courses and programs to meet the specific training needs of each group.
It is worth mentioning that the National Cyber Security Agency regularly provides cybersecurity awareness content to employees in various state institutions through multiple workshops. This initiative is part of the agency's efforts to stabilize the national cybersecurity environment and improve cybersecurity standards at both the state and community levels.
