National Cyber Security Agency Engages 210 Training Coordinators and Directors in the Orientation Seminar from Diverse State Institutions

In its ongoing pursuit to bolster cybersecurity indicators at the state and societal levels, the National Cyber Security Agency orchestrated a seminar with 210 training coordinators and directors representing diverse government institutions, underscoring its dedication to fostering a secure working environment.
The seminar delved into a comprehensive review of the primary objectives of the National Cyber Security Training Program and its notable subprograms. Additionally, attendees discussed strategies to optimize the program's benefits. Moreover, there was an in-depth examination of the Learning Management System (LMS), shedding light on its objectives and the enriched educational value it offers through disseminating awareness content.
Mr. Khaled Al-Hashemi, Director of Empowerment and Cyber Excellence Affairs at the National Cybersecurity, emphasizes the pivotal connection between workplace stability and the stability of cyberspace. Recognizing the imperative of fostering a secure cyber work environment, he underscores the agency's initiative in launching the National Cyber Training Program. This program reflects and reinforces the agency's proactive approach to addressing cyber threats. Grounded in awareness, training, and cyber proficiency, the agency's preventive cybersecurity strategy aligns seamlessly with the core objectives of the National Cyber Training Program.
Al-Hashemi further underscored the critical connection between the efficacy of the National Cyber Training Program and the collaborative engagement of targeted institutions invested in awareness and training initiatives. Consequently, the agency prioritizes disseminating comprehensive clarifications and pertinent information regarding the program across diverse sectors and targeted institutions. This proactive approach aims to foster enhanced cooperation from these entities with the National Cyber Security Agency and its awareness and training programs.
Mrs. Dalal Al-Aqidi, Director of the National Cyber Excellence Department, highlights the latest National Cyber Training Program iteration enhancements. The updated version introduces novel training programs and activities, reflecting an expanded target audience. Structurally, the program now revolves around two primary axes, each branching into sub-paths. The first axis prioritizes cybersecurity awareness, encompassing self-based awareness initiatives and cybersecurity workshops. Meanwhile, the second axis focuses on cybersecurity career progression programs, featuring fresh graduates bootcamp, professionals, managers, and leaders.
Al-Aqidi underscored that the seminar served as a platform to elucidate the objectives of the National Cybersecurity Training Program, outline its associated sub-programs, and offer insights on optimal utilization. She highlighted the interactive nature of the seminar, which fostered extensive discussions. Moreover, the seminar delivered a comprehensive briefing to coordinators and training managers within governmental institutions, shedding light on the intricacies and objectives of the National Cybersecurity Training Program.
The National Cybersecurity Training Program is considered one of the main projects of the National Cyber Security Agency. This program offers various awareness activities targeting institutions, society, and individuals. In the past year, the program succeeded in providing training services to over 79,000 trainees belonging to 91 institutions. This includes 76,870 trainees in awareness programs, 1,586 trainees in the foundational program, and 1,253 trainees in the specialized training Path. Additionally, employees from 6 participating institutions were honored. These institutions include the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Primary Health Care Corporation, Kahramaa, Qatar Aluminum, Qatar University, and Qatari Diar.
It is worth mentioning that the National Training Project is owned by the National Cyber Security Agency, which implements various training and qualification programs. If any entity wishes to provide its employees with high-level cybersecurity training, it should communicate with the National Cyber Security Agency's Center for Cyber Excellence to determine the appropriate training schedule.
