Empowering students for safe digital integration and promoting responsible technology usage culture
As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen cybersecurity and build a safe digital society, the National Cybersecurity Agency conducted field visits to special needs schools under the "Cyber Eco" project for the academic years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025. These visits included awareness workshops aimed at educating students about cybersecurity risks and promoting safe usage of the internet and digital applications.

A Strong Commitment to Expanding Cybersecurity Awareness
In this context, Ms. Dalal Al-Aqeedi, Director of the National Cybersecurity Excellence Department at the agency, emphasized that this initiative is part of a comprehensive strategy to spread cybersecurity awareness among all segments of society.

Al-Aqeedi added, "We are keen to involve all groups in cybersecurity awareness efforts, including students from schools and universities, women, the elderly, and expatriate workers. The agency has not overlooked students with disabilities, believing in the importance of their role in society and the need to empower them with digital protection tools to ensure a safe interactive environment for them."

"Cyber Eco"... Comprehensive Education, Training, and Entertainment
The "Cyber Eco" project is based on delivering interactive workshops on digital safety, targeting various groups, with a focus on students with disabilities. The National Cybersecurity Agency is committed to providing them with the latest information on cybersecurity and the necessary training to keep up with global digital developments.
The workshops cover a range of critical topics in cybersecurity, such as phishing, online fraud, identity theft, and content security policies. They are also presented in sign language by a specialized team to ensure effective communication and understanding for all students.

Innovative Approaches to Enhance Interaction and Impact
The agency has developed innovative educational tools as part of the project, including training kits on cybersecurity concepts, guidebooks for teachers and parents, educational electronic games applications, motivational gifts, and interactive projects that students participate in at the end of the program.

Significant Achievements During the 2023-2024 Academic Year
Since its launch in the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, the "Cyber Eco" project has achieved remarkable results, having carried out field visits to 105 public and private schools, benefiting more than 6,000 students, reflecting the agency’s success in instilling a cybersecurity culture across different segments of society.
